I only found out about all of this when things were already cooling down, but the closeness between those who were there before me, was something I noticed and wished I could have been a part of.
I too, don't think it can be that way again, but I would love to see it at least more alive again.
I hope it works. So far it seems to do. We even got a new poster, so, yay! I hope we can lure people back in by having exciting prompts and the promise that stories can be as short as you like. But you never know how long people will retain their interest. I will keep writing. It's because of you and other writers like you that I started writing again. I can’t tell you how happy I am to be writing again. So maybe I should say thank you to you too.
It makes me so sad to see it so... abandoned. I seriously miss 2009/10, those were some great years for the Community (when ONTD_Muse was still active as well!). It wasn't as much about the stories as about that feeling - you know, the discussions, the excitement, even just the shitposting sometimes. :( Part of that has moved to Tumblr, where both the fandom and the exchanges feel more like a Community. Another part, and I fear it's actually the biggest, has just moved on. But that's life, eh. Nevertheless, if no one writes - or, actually, if no one publishes their works there, it'll never get back to the way it was. Or even close to it, to be honest. It all starts with us, of course, and that's why I'm hoping to see you with your wonderful writing back as well. :) Lots of love. ♥

There's little guidance in the comm these days, no incentive to keep things moving and different and fresh. Perhaps things will change. I'm willing to try and do my part.
I hope I can somehow contribute to the effort in my own way. But, like others have said, I think we need to accept that a lot of people probably will never come back... which is very sad.
However, I think we should also make an effort to attract new people. We may not be able to genuinely "revive" the old days but we can at least rebuild and attract some new writers.
I just wish I had been around to experience the good old days for myself.
I agree, sadly :/ (and I certainly wasn't trying to come off as saying that's what I expected, sorry if I did... I'm bad with words today gaaah ^^;) But I know there are still great people around who can inspire people. That's what matters, even if it's just a handful of us who still post on MS. <3

It's worth it and I'm usually a positive person but I doubt it's enough this time (also because for some reason people seem really scared of recent transition of LJ to other owners?).
It's a sad state of affairs though when in the face of MS's deathbed and when people are trying to make an effort, the one member who should be trying to do more than everyone else and actually leading changes - the actual owner - doesn't seem to give a shit about the community. Clings to it as if's a golden throne and yet does fuck all. It's been the case for a number of years but I think it's more noticeable now when actual action needs to be taken.
It's gonna die a slow death in my opinion, unfortunately.
