million_starI'm not really sure what this is. I was looking through my document folder and found this, titled "author's tumblr fic meme". I don't remember it but in looking at it last night it sounded interesting so I'm gonna post it. Is it self-indulgent for an author to talk about their own fic like this? :/ *shrugs* Hope not, either way it's made me revisit things I'd actually forgotten I'd written and was pretty fun!
Favorite fic: It has to be Seventeen Steps, my first successfully completed multi-chaptered fic. I suppose it's so dear to my heart because the subject matter hit me so close to home. Idk.
2nd Favorite Fic: It has to be Division In Silver, simply because it was so different than anything I'd ever written before; that Matthew is so very dark and I'm proud I pulled it off cos I had my doubts during the writing process.
Your Least Favorite Fic: Not sure how to answer this one; I will say that while I don't dislike it, there are a lot of things about The Pleasure Principle that I wish I'd done differently.
Your Biggest Regret In Writing: I suppose it would be the fact that I don't wait until series are completed before posting them. I've let a lot of readers down in that regard but those of you who don't mind the gap between updates, well, thank you. :) Real life has a way of slowing things down, grrr.
Favorite Matthew: Oh lord. It has to be TPP Matthew. Hands (and pants) down. It's interesting writing TPP as a whole from his POV, for sure.
Favorite Dominic: Son of a Preacher Man Dominic, also hands down! He's sassy and has a heart of gold and he is just so much fun to write.
Favorite Christopher: It's a toss-up between Satisfaction Revisited (Atlanta) Christopher and Blue Christopher, haha. He's only a passing presence in both fics BUT he is the one that I like to think resembles closest to the actual man; a secret diabolical mastermind.
Favorite Original Character: SS' Paige Howard. Honorable mention: SOAPM's Annie Bellamy. Just-as-honorable-mention: SS' Nova. <3
Favorite Setting or Alternate Universe: The world of Fierce Frequencies - full of leisure suits, afros and bell bottom trousers. It's so much fun to lose myself in. Honorable mention: SOAPM's Sapphire Falls.
Favorite Title: Cydonian Thighs. Idk what I was thinking but it always makes me giggle.
Favorite Line: It's a benediction, and yet it's a punishment. from Glow
